Had to take care of the business of shipping books. You guys knocked me on my arse! Thank you…may I please have another?
The last of the books were shipped as of yesterday. I know all the postal clerks by name and have been invited to join them for beers. Great people at the Concord branch…so patient. I would tie up their windows for 45 minutes per visit!
So today I went out and did three things I haven’t done in a long time.
1. Go to the flea market.
B. Go for a drive.
3. Take pictures.
Walked away with some cool stuff from the flea market. Bought a new military issue blanket which will go in the trunk of the car for those overnight trips I refuse to pay for pricey lodging. I’d rather sleep in my car and this blanket should keep me plenty warm. Also bought a old CC Filson tool bag for $5 which I’ll throw spare parts in and keep it behind my seat. Love old leather and canvas goods built for a lifetime. CC Filson has been around since 1897. Managed to find an old Timex just like the one I had as a kid – $5 score! The same guy had a cool Mobile Pegasus piece which I will gift to my buddy John Gray to add to his garage art. His garage is featured in the new issue of Total 911 by my buddies John Glynn and Jamie Lipman – be sure to check it out. My favorite piece is the devil face bottle opener which I’ll hang up somewhere in the studio. Way too kewl to hide in the kitchen drawer.
