Caught Samurai Racer in the video. There is another shot of you taking pictures.

I was supposed to be in a movie with Keanu Reeves until they decided to rename it 47 Ronin and not 48 Ronin.

that is a cool post. enjoyed it. thankS.

  4. Serge says:

I saw the video the other day; definitely very well done; got me jealous of all you guys driving those CA hiways and biways!

  5. Bob Tilton says:

The video is a bit different than the normal unedited 20 minutes of driving footage from a roll bar mounted go-pro and Neil Young audio. 😉

Thanks for sharing vid. Refreshing change to see an edited video showing loads of people enjoying their cars, rather than one man and his car…which reminds me, I need to get out and enjoy mine. Like the hand written posts? (Made your own font?)

  7. Bob Tilton says:

Hi Mark. Agreed. The video does a great job at capturing both the cars and the gruppe!

The text is handwritten and scanned. I know there is software to convert handwriting into a font but I haven’t gotten around to doing it. Plus, I like the “sincerity” of keeping it analog as much as possible…if that makes sense. It’s such a synthetic world now.

  8. Vicarious great Porsche and CA road overdose and I really enjoyed listening to people talk passionately about their cars and what they mean. I’ve watched the video several times over the past few days and finally realized it was “my medicine” and I need this too!

Thanks for posting this and kudos to TennXX for the excellent work.

  9. Bob Tilton says:

I was a big fan of Tenn’s wErk before the video and was happy when I heard he got the job.

Big thanks to R Gruppe for putting up the coin and hiring Tenn and Crew!

    Very cool vid!
Watched it a couple of times over the past few days.
Enjoyed seeing some familiar faces, cars and scenery.

    Nice!

Gotta share a Werks Reunion tale. I flew from Fort Worth, gathered up my brother in Aptos and headed out Saturday.

Yes, we saw a 918, yes a 906, yes even Magnus, but wandering the parking lawn, under a tree, was a familiar looking 911 with your name on the door.

Weekend complete….! Hope you had a great time, would have said hello but didn’t spot anyone with a German rangefinder over their shoulder.

    Cheers,

    Paul

  12. Bob Tilton says:

Jeroen – yeah I’ve watched it a few times as well. I see most of these people at least once a year if not more.

Paul – ;). There were a quite a few German cameras at the event. Ron Wolfe, Randy Wells and Kent Fitzgerald all have M9s. It’s become trendy. 😉

Makes me even more sad I couldn’t make it to Treffen this year. Thanks Tenn for this aweseome pice of your work.

  14. Bob Tilton says:

Christian – I’ve always said if I could only attend one event per year then it would be the R Gruppe Treffens. It’s a great event that is the perfect formula – both people and cars doing “stuff” as opposed to sitting by your car all day on some golf course.

The cars are moving. The people are moving. Things are happening. Massive energy.
