Sit yourself down and help me decide.
Deep Black Pearl Metallic or Carbon Steel Gray Metallic?
Stop fighting it. You know you want black….pearl or not. I don’t see you rolling a gray car.
My lady friends dig black cars and so do I.
Buy a used Black A3 for the same price. Trust me. VW and Audi’s are not the same. Drive a 2.0T with a DSG(automatic) and you will be trying to figure out how you can get that transmission in your Porsche.
Get the black. I have a 2012 Shadow Blue 4 door GTI and love it. Best daily driver I’ve ever had. I recently was at the grocery store and saw a black and grey one parked near each other. The black was much better looking.
I’ve owned a 2010 in grey for 3 years now and must say i never tire of the way the color changes in different light conditions. To me the black is bland and lacking in life, just saying!
Obviously you will not want black, everybody and anyone has a black car….
I would vote grey.
I bought a grey TDi Golf with DSG recently, and I LOVE it.
Personally, I don’t wear color and haven’t for years. Just black, grey and sometimes white. We have two cats – one black and the other grey. Our house is grey. My 911L is Silver. I specifically wanted the Leica M9P because it had no red dot. The TT is Sahara Silver Metallic. So that gives you an idea of helping me decide. I live in a colorless world by choice.
The Carbon Steel Grey is a very nice grey. It some ways, it reminds me of Porsche’s classic Slate Grey which is a phenomenal color. The CSG does indeed change as mentioned as does Slate Grey.
The only reason I hesitate on the Black GTI is because it is metallic and the CSG is very nice in person.
CSG. No question.
I was going to say black until you said it had metallic in it. Bleah.
“CSG. No question.”
Wtf Bob, you know your getting the Audi….
Looks like CSG is pulling ahead.
I was looking at an A4 then realized even a certified preowned car with the package I wanted was creeping close to $40K. Plus, I’m still a little pissed at the local dealership for charging over $500 to replace the headlamp assembly because they “removed the front bumper”.
Black with the plaid interior, just like my 1983, classic.
here ya go bob, nice little review on the GTI, but its not CSG or Black but it does have plaid seats 😀
If you are going to keep it standard with those wheels. BLACK
If you have plans to make it look less like you are the type to sit around coffee shops with a Mac and trendy clothes then GREY
as Gib Bosworth would say, why don’t ya just get a 964? 🙂
Nick – I think the cloth plaid is a must. It’s a great throwback to the early GTIs. Also, reminded of houndstooth in the early 911s.
Great video Ron. I don’t think I have the patience for the release of the MKVII.
I don’t want another Porsche (did I say that) or rather another two door. Two is enough. Need to make Home Depot runs.
CSG of course….!
