IT IS TACT THAT IS GOLDEN, NOT SILENCE

Got my 10K tach conversion back today from North Hollywood Speedometer. It came out incredibly nice and I should have installed it but it’s getting shipped back to be re-done.

Before you read any further and think this is a negative commentary on NHS, nothing could be further from the truth. They turned the conversion around within their stated time line and the tach is truly beautiful…too beautiful. All the markings and numbers are a very bright white, in fact “too” white in comparison to the adjacent gauges with ivory or bone yellow markings and numbers due to age.

I immediately contacted NHS and asked if custom matching was a service they provided. Luckily the answer was “yes” at an additional cost which I am happy to pay to keep the gauges unified in appearance. Otherwise, I would rather have the original face re-installed. Yes, I am a “special needs” customer and totally not ashamed of it. I should have initially requested the service but due to never having had gauges refurbished, never anticipated the stark difference. Live and learn.

Big thanks to NHS for understanding!

I just had NHS do my gauges – they are beautiful. I went with Hartmut’s suggestion and got all the gauge faces redone for uniformity.
