IN THE HANGING GARDEN NO ONE SLEEPS

iPhone shots from the day – my wife and I had the day off so tripped on over to San Francisco. The de Young Museum is currently hosting a Picasso exhibit. The man was a workaholic and his passion was relentless which made for a long career. Very impressive but more impressed by his broad range of style. Sorry – no photos were allowed which is probably why I saw Elvis there…no evidence.

We then went to go look at some flowers…you know since I was with my wife. Don’t know what the big deal is about flowers. I mean, we got flowers in our yard but we don’t have any Picassos in our house.

Then we went over to IKEA. As you guys know I bag on IKEA a bit. I understand its existence and appeal. I could see a few pieces I wouldn’t mine having in the house. However, everything about that place feels so “good enough for now” or so disposable like razor blades. No longevity. No staying power. It’s just furniture…what do I care? IKEA is no Picasso. Suffice to say I didn’t buy anything.
