BOOK DONATION TO ROGER GRAGO FUNDRAISER AUCTION: PART III

Got word from Paul today after he received the Roger Grago Benefit book. Paul seems to be happy. Paul placed a rather generous bid towards the cause so I wanted to make this book special and since he’s now received the book I’ll share it with the rest of you.

I contacted my bookbinder and sent him pics of Roger’s Auburgine (eggplant) 911 to have him best match color for a new cover for this special edition. Also, I requested that the foil stamping be in metallic silver and to give it an aged look. My bookbinder never disappoints – a true artisan and the reason I chose to work with him.

While my bookbinder was assembling the cover I designed a special page marking it the “Roger Grago Benefit Book”. Also, the belly band was printed on a different stock to compliment the silver foil stamp. I chose vellum for this treatment.

The overall appearance is very unique and I am pleased with the results.

Again thank you Paul and thanks to the other gentlemen who participated in the auction. This Porsche culture is full of “good people”.

PAUL’S NOTE: I just received my Roger Grago special edition. I am honored to have  book #001. I cant wait to find three hours to hide in my study and just stare at each page. Then I will go back and read it. Great job Bob. When you run another set, please don’t forget to save one for me. Get well Roger Grago.
