IN THE FALLING OUT OF THE DOOMSDAY CROWD

Time to redo the home studio. Going “period-correct” with the decor. Imagining white walls so all pieces stand out like sculptures in a gallery. Looking for stuff with character and sincerity. My acquisitions so far have been a Steelcase desk for $60 and an old oak office chair for $25. The chair spent most of its life at the Dept of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Cool history is a bonus. I would prefer not to have to refinish anything as you know…patina is king. IKEA be damned. iPhone shots:

    Nice!
Hope the chair’s not as uncomfortable as it looks though…

Might have to throw a houndstooth cushion on it!

  5. don’t lose the decal for anything in the world , its a preserve at all cost item, like retaining patina on a longhood

That chair is long gone. Decided on a more comfy but still “period-correct” route.
